It is important that your site will be indexed by those search engines before you can compete to other websites for the highest rankings. The common methods which you often hear the most is by submitting your site manually to search engines. Though this method nowadays is not considered the most appropriate and effective way to reach the desired rankings.

If you have any other older website having good rankings already and if you have new website which is somehow related to your other websites then place a link so that you're new and old website will be connected with each other making it easy for you and to users as well to get connected
and have a good navigation. This will let search engines discover your latest website as they go over the older websites which are present already on those directories.
2. Set up one way linking with popular websites. You can use the SEO directories for submitting your links if it is your first time to have a new website. These directories are found on search engines and are considered friendly which will enable SEO spiders discover your new website by going over through these directories.
3. Article writing. Do not forget to write articles on whatever your business is all about and the things which you can offer to your users. Your website goals are very important
and make sure to have a very informative and enticing article that will encourage more visitors to your website. Be sure to have navigation in your article back to new website. You can place it under the Authors name of the article. You can submit these articles then to those friendly search engine directories for faster indexing.
